Most certainly the trip with you was one of our highlights whilst on the Amazon. I promise I will add to trip advisor and cruise critic when I have a little more time.
I have to say that you were most knowledgeable and passionate about your home and the historical information given was also most interesting. I will also treasure your little booklet. The fruits, nuts, fish and drinks offered to us were most welcome, delicious and came as a pleasant surprise. Your crew were kind and helpful too. It was a fantastic day and we enjoyed it immensely! It was just a pity we only had one day to share with you; we certainly could have spent longer in your company and gaining more insight into your beautiful Amazon area.

I was recommended Gil as a guide on our day trip to Santarem by cruise ship and the recommendation couldn't have been better! Gil was extremely knowledgeable, welcoming, enthusiastic and generous with his time. It was a delight to see a guide still get so excited seeing the wildlife he must see on a daily basis and it was infectious. We were kept entertained with the stories of his childhood and family life in Brazil as well as being very well fed and watered throughout the trip. This was by far the best trip of our cruise and we wouldn't hesitate to use Gil again in Santarem or elsewhere. Highly recommended, one of the best out there. :)
