Special post for Cruisers (Rubber History)

My hometown of Santarem was the stage for the most important chapters of rubber history. The Wickhams lived here untill they were comissioned by Joseph Hooker to take 7000 seeds of rubbber tree to Kew Gardens, seeds that were collected from my jewish grand-father's village.

In the 1920's Henry Ford started to build Fordland. In Between these two chapter 200 hundred families of American confederados move here hoping to reconstruct their lives. These are well written by Joe Jackson and Greg Grandin, both amazing writers that i had the privilege to work with.
