John Gould, Toco Toucan, Maica Lake

This is a great illustration of Toco Toucans done by John Gould, the artist chosen by Charles Darwin in his travels aboard the Beagle. At Maica lake I once saw a group of 23 Toco Toucans, and I was with 35 cruiseship passengers. Maica is one of the greatest wildlife sites we have near Santarem. We should protect it with nails and teeth.
