Rui Barata was one of the most talented writers from Santarem. (25 deJunho 1920 — 23 deAbril 1990).
As a child he lived where my home is now, named Linha Imaginaria, after one of his poems.
He was influenced by Mayakowiski, Garcia Lorca, T.S. Elliot, Neruda, Drummond deAndrade, Manuel Bandeira entre outros. He was a great political activist.
