Fred Olsen Cruise line

Fred. Olsen Cruise Line, a United Kingdom-based company, has been a family-operated business ever since its inception in Oslofjord, Norway, in 1848. It was then that the three Olsen brothers, Fredrik Christian, Petter and Andreas, purchased their first ships and started an international shipping company.

At Fred. Olsen, the belief is that small is beautiful and the emphasis is on the guest. The line offers a more intimate cruising experience, with each of the ships accommodating fewer than 1,400 passengers. These smaller ships have the ability to reach more remote destinations and can anchor in the very heart of ports where it is often a short walk down the gangway to shore rather than a lengthy tender ride.

Fred. Olsen sails all over the world, and its itineraries include calls to the Caribbean, the Mediterranean, the Baltic, Norway, the British Isles and Africa. Fred. Olsen ships feature daily activities and lectures, nightly entertainment and celebration packages for special occasions. The currency onboard all ships is the United Kingdom pound.
